How to connect ADSL device
In order for your Internet connection to work properly or in order to establish Internet connection through ADSL you will need to properly connect ADSL device.
If you do not do so you will have a bad Internet connection or it may come to disconnection when you use your phone.
Please connect your device as described in the following text:
Connecting ADSL devices which do not have splitter built-in:
For modems/routers which connect over Ethernet:
Connect ADSL splitter directly to phone line with cable that goes in “line” port on splitter.
From the port "Phone" carry out the phone cable on which you will connect your phone
From the port "ADSL" carry out phone cable which you will connect to your ADSL device.
Connect Ethernet (network) cable from "Ethernet" port on ADSL device to "Ethernet" port on your computer.
For modems/routers which connect over USB:
Connect ADSL splitter directly to a phone line with cable that goes in port "line" on the splitter.
From the port "Phone" carry out phone cable on which you will connect your phone.
From the port “ADSL" carry out phone cable which you will connect to your ADSL device.
Connect USB cable from ADSL device to "USB" port of your computer.
Note: If you have ISDN line, ADSL splitter MUST be connected before ISDN device.
Besides this, it is necessary that you have ADSL device which supports ISDN phone lines (Annex B).
Instructions for setting other ADSL modems/routers
Parameters for modem/router setup:
ATM (WAN) settings:
VPI : 8
VCI : 35
Service Category (Qos type): UBR without PCR
MTU: 1492
It is very important that your parameters are set on values like is listed above. If you do not do so it is possible that your ADSL will work badly.
Encapsulation: LLC (LLC/SNAP-BRIDGING)
Protocol: PPPoE
